The song evokes the visual representation of hot, acidic waves repeatedly flowing over coral reefs as it slowly bleaches. Musically it evolves over time, as the waves crash in and out over the top of something beautiful which has taken an incredible amount of time to grow. The track represents humans' difficult relationship with nature, how we desire to be close to it - perhaps needing to be for a conservation perspective, yet in the process, when this is not done properly potentially destroying a good thing that has taken a permanence beyond human lifetimes to evolve…

"our love grew slowly like the coral reef
but damaged fast upon a siege
of hot ocean, left white and bleached
our love grew slowly like the coral reef"

There is something very mischievous, and loveable about Greg's work. Quirky overtones, and a feel that doesn't take itself too seriously. But it is seriously good. Favourite track "hot1_2" Island Fox
My favourite track is "Black Light Ultra". Iglooghost is one of the most inventive projects of our generation. The Tales of Mamū series completely wild & wonderful. Island Fox
International music & collaboration at it's finest. Traversing the underground with genre hybridisation. And, yet this mixtape is the result of URL meet-ups in online space. Island Fox
